Open Question: College freshman who feels lost, doesn't know what to major in, and wants to know life's purpose. Please Help?
Hello everyone! I am 18 and a freshman in college. I did really well in high school and never thought I would have this much trouble deciding on what to major in. I have joined a fraternity and have made many friends since starting school, which has been a lot of fun. But, lately I have been thinking about life and how I want to make the most of mine. I have absolutely no idea what I want to major in or what type of career field to go into. There are so many things that interest me! I could look myself doing so many different things! It is on my mind constantly and it is very stressful. Last semester, I took some personality and career tests. I am an ENFP on the Myers-Briggs scale. This every fits when I think about it. I am a very outgoing, social person. I adore talking to people and learning about them. I adore making them giggle. It just comes so naturally to me. I am very nice, probably sometimes too nice for my possess good. I have also done various exercises trying to figure out what my purpose in life is. Sometimes it is difficult for me to recognize my talents and gifts. Cliche it may be, but I truly want to make a difference in the world. I want to look the world! Every last bit of it! I have tried really difficult to think about what I can look myself doing as a career and I arrive up with many ideas! I think it would be great to go to nursing school, then receive my masters degree and work in dermatology. With my RN I could also receive my MBA and then work in hospital administration, which appeals to me, too. I think it would be awesome to be an Anthropologist or a college professor or a photographer! I have thought about going to dental school. You can major in anything as long as you take the pre-requisites. I have thought about maybe doing psychology/pre-dent just incase dental school doesn't work out, I will have a good thing to fall back on. I sometimes doubt myself and tell myself I can't do certain things because they might be difficult. Another thing that is on my mind: I want to have my "dream job" (whatever that may be) but also make a significant amount of income. I want to have a nice home and a luxury car some day. I know I am only 18 and "have lots of time to figure it out", but really, I don't. I don't want to be that fifth or sixth year senior. I just wish this were easier. I wish I knew what it is that I am meant to do with my life. Although I realize that this has to be ultimately my decision, if anyone could give me any advice, I would appreciate it tremendously. Open Question: Can you make my iPod live again?
Hey every, I'm looking for some tech savvy folks out there to help me solve my current dilemma. Yesterday during my morning workout, my iPod suddenly turned off, and wouldn't turn back on. The battery is not the problem, since it won't even turn back on when I plug it in to charge or hook it up to the computer. I'm going button crazy, pushing every combination of buttons I can think of to reset it. Nada, zip, zilch. When I did plug it in to my laptop, it showed up as a "hardware" icon, and itunes came up as well, but the iPod wasn't displaying in the iTunes, and it froze itunes for a bit as well. I'm trying to figure out what the heck I can do! I'm a student in my last remaining months of college and feeling like I am on the upslope of money, even though I have a part-time job, the paychecks aren't exactly full! Is there anything I can do to revive my little music pal? I don't think I can afford the luxury of a new iPod right now. I've had it for a few years now, and yes it's been dropped a couple times but nothing horrible. I have about 5000 songs on there that I would at least like to receive back. I need this thing to work out with. GAH. Thanks for any help guys!

Open Question: Which Luxury Car To Buy For A Young Guy?
Don't want to go into age but I am a young man (younger than 20) who is looking for the right car to pick. My limit is a little odd but it is 43k due to trade in value and payment ETC. I have pretty much narrowed it down to two cars. The 2010 Mercedes C300 Sport or the 2010 Mercedes GLK350. I can't pick between the two because I am torn between both of them. The Glk has gotten better reliablility ratings and such. The glk looks amazing sits up a bit higher which is good and has a lot of little chilly features. With the Premium Package 1 and Navigation plus heated seats the total comes to about 42,700. on the other hand the C300 is also drop dead gorgeous and gets better mileage. It has the chilly pop out navigation and heated seats. every the feature on the GLK minus the power liftgate and Panorma sunroof(extra.) With this I would receive the Premium 1 package, Multimedia, and Rear view camera plus Harmon Kardon sound (extra money but included on the GLK.) Still the C class comes in cheaper at about 42,100. Coming from a mitsubishi eclipse spyder both of these will be different. Please help me pick between the two I really need help. Thank you in advance. Thank your for helping I'm just asking for adivice. I'm not trying to belittle anyone. I don't have disposable income. It's just with my trade in and payments we can afford it right now with me working to pay for gas and stuff. I don't like Lexus due to every the current problems they are having maybe in the future. And I don't understand why you have to be rude about it. No I'm not a drug dealer. And keep money for a good lawyer really? My dad is a lawyer. And no this is not inheritance money. I have worked very difficult in school and soon college for this and my parents aren't paying in full after trade in it is going to be about 25k if you must know.

Open Question: What type of SUV/Crossover should I buy?
Ok, so I still owe about $2,000 on my '04 Chevy Cavalier, but it is starting to fall apart and rather than fix it, I'd rather just trade it in and pay it off with whatever bonuses I can receive. Is this wise? I would like a SUV/Crossover, something like the Traverse. I don't care about luxury and cylinders, it can be tiny, I just need that extra bit of space in the back and it has to be cheap. Do you think I'd be better off to go used, and if so, do they usually do trade ins?

Open Question: ME AND MY BF ARGUED ABOUT MONEY...WTF...ADVICE PLEASE!!!?
i lent him money which i was reluctant about as i knew it starts arguments over 6months ago.he needed money whilst he was in jamaica visiting family,so i sent it through.i didn't understand why he hadn't saved before but didn't mention it.he has never been good with money, but its not my place to say that. anyways once he got back he told me he was in debt so i said for him to pay me back when he could. since then he has bought stuff for himself (luxuries) but i haven't mentioned it as i hadn't wanted to start an argument. since then he has asked me to lend him tiny change like £10 here and £20 there. he ous me £120 altogether. he got payed 2 weeks ago now and we haven't spoken for a week(since the argument). we also had spoken before he got payed and he said if i wanted some of my money back, i said yes.if he could send me £20 this month and then £50 next and the other £50 the next month..he agreed. he kept asking me for my bank details but i hadn't had the chance to check my balance as i wanted to before sending him my details. the day of the argument which was over txt msg. i txt him in the morning to look if he could arrive visit me at uni (long distance relationship), as he hasn't visited me yet and i have been at uni since september. i understand he has had work and financial problems (although i think it is also to do with his lack of money management skills and laziness). he replied saying he will let me know by the end of the day but he has no money. to which i responded wow u have no money?? i only have enough for half of your train ticket. i was going to send you my bank details today but im guessing you don't have my £20. (bear in mind he only got paid a week ago and lives with his mum/no home bills) he didn't respond but later that day he txt me saying he needed a loan a big loan. i thought he meant off the bank. so i replied what do you need the money for if you don't mind me being noisy. he txt me back saying if i could lend him money. i said sorry i couldn't. i would if i could but to tell you the truth i really needed that £20 for uni stuff and that im on a tight budget. he replied look katherine i don't want to argue with you , i asked you how many times to send your bank details to which i replied well i don't want to either i told him how difficult it was down at uni and that i don't think he realises and that i didn't think his pay check would go in a week and if he knew he had to give me £20 then why would he spend it?? (he had previously days before told me that he went clothes shopping, which angered me but i didn't say anything as i thought i would receive my £20). i said that i was reluctant to lend money in the past as i knew it cause problems and if next month he could give me half he ous me , that i am telling him in advance he replied f*** this and that i am lucky he doesn't have credit to call me. and that he is going to receive money of his friends and send me every the money he ous me. i replied he didn'tt need to do that i was just asking for the £20 and if he could just stick to what he agreed as i need more money next month not really this month and that he didnt need to be stubborn but if thats what he wishes to do then i cant cease him and not to toss it back in my face as i didnt ask for every of it. i also told him i didn't have strength to argue ( i am sick, the doctor think i have a thyroid problem which makes me sleepy every the time, im having blood tests at the moment) then he started being nasty. he text me back that he doesn't want anymore of my long texts and that if i do there will me f***ing action, (meaning consequences.) i got offended by this and replied fine i will keep it short and sweet. you reap what you sow. you are being rude and horrible to me. keep swearing at me, you are just showing me a different side of yourself to me. i cant be bothered to carry on this conversation with you. he then responded with " katherine you must think i am joking with you. send me your details. i am serious. cease your f***ing bulls***. i dont look me and you ever understanding each other so i will have to do this the right f***ing way. dont text me. im the one that is busy. im up every day working and not sleeping every f***ing day. (which offended me as he knows im sick) what can you bring to the table? lol i replied back saying was he ending it or just asking me not to text as i hadnt read the message properly. he then thought i was ending things and txt me that he is saying he is busy and hasnt got time for me or my bull****.but if that what i want he is chilly with it as it is not as though me or his mum are looking after him.so anything i want. i txt saying i hadnt read the msg correctly as im sick and that it offended me him taking the piss out of me sleeping as it is something i cant help. and that i try my best to look after him which obviously isnt good enough and who is here to look after me? i dont take the piss out of him so he shouldnt do that to me. and th he wanted my bank details to put the money in my account. i dont think he would steal my money but you never can be to careful i guess.. i have been with him for 4 years i also txt him days after the argument to break the ice and said i do adore you but i cant handle your short temper or lack or respect you show me to which he hasnt responded,so i dont know what to do??? i dont particularly want to dump him

Open Question: Urgent help - finding my perfect holiday !!!?
I've been looking up different places to go on holiday on the internet for ages and can't find a good place to go. I have 3 dogs so I need a pet friendly holiday that can snooze two people. I need it to be in the UK and not more than 2 hours steer away from manchester. Ideally I would like to go the Peak District or Yorkshire. It also needs to have a big, enclosed garden for the dogs. I was searching for a cottage but any other ideas you can think of that are suitable for dogs will arrive in handy. I have looked on loads of websites and just can't seem to find what i'm looking for and when I do stumble across the perfect one it's not available. I was hoping to go on the 26/27th March for a week (short notice i know but some cottages are still available). It doesn't have to be luxury and it could be secluded in the mountains, I really don't mind but I would really just adore a place to take my dad and dogs away for a week. Also, it can't be too expensive because i'm on a very tight budget so the cheaper the better! Any links for places would be a great help because at the moment i'm really stuck :(

Resolved Question: Selling a box of luxury chocolates 2 months out of date?
Bought my daughter a box of chocolates for her birthday. When I got home, I discovered they were 2 months out of date. The big supermarket chain gave me a full refund, amended my receipt to show what had happened, and said their complaints department in Scotland would contact me within 14 days. 7 weeks have passed, and still haven't heard anything. What advice would you offer? Do I have any legal rights for compensation? What would have happened if my daughter had eaten some of the chocolates, caught a serious infection like MRSA, and died?

I took a psychology class and we studied marriage and divorce. It turns out that after you hut up with someone and receive married, nine times out of ten you will end up divorced. The main reason is because when you're cohabiting, you already have the luxury of the things you would have when you were married, so why make it official? Would you? What do you think?

Open Question: I need your help! please talk to me and give me some idea of what going on here!?
My brother's girlfriend ask his hand in marriage. I guess he said yes because she throwing it in our family's face with the date, plans, etc. My brother is very young, had no good credit, and had anything to support them. She even convince him to sublease his home, that look kinda old, and move so they can receive a luxury apartment together close to her folks. The girl also has a lil boy and he is so annoying. I believe he has ADD.Anyway, she dresses and conducts herself like a whore and very picky about food, when to arrive and leave our family gatherings, and lord knows what else, etc. Also, her mom is pushing the wedding heavily. Her mom need to have everything from guest list to wedding colors. What do U think going on here? How can talk my brother out of this mess?

I reallllllyyy really want this $2,000 ring. It is platinum with diamond...and I adore the model so much. IS this a good investment in any way??? I stopped and asked myself why I wanted it. Well of course for my pleasure. I appreciate fine quality things more than most. The style of the ring is very clean. Other than I have no other reason for buying it. Im a college student and work on the side. Its like I can afford and yet I can't. My mom thinks it is not a good investment for a young person like me. She says I need to put my money toward my main priority first(school, better car, bills etc)...and the luxury and wealth will arrive later!! Ok so am a bit confused as to what I should receive and I was wondering what you guys thought. I've narrowed it down to 2: the nissan murano and the acura tsx. Ok I like luxury cars that's where the acura comes in I also adore its technology and every it has and the cars design. Open Question: Should i sign up for this and leave my team?
Im 17 and i play varsity for my high school soccer team. This weekend my dad took me and a couple of my soccer buddies to a freestyle championship in Manchester England where he lives currently for his work. We decided to go look the competition on saturday and on sunday, visit the MacArthur West Soccer Park to just goof around. Billy Wingrove was supposed to be at the championship. On the way to the event, i googles him in the car with my blackberry. Hes good. Very good. I was hoping that my dad would have some sort of connection to where i could meet or talk to him for a little bit. When we arrived, it was already crowded. My dad took my friends and i up to a private viewing area where it was less noisy. The announcer was in there along with a few other compettitors. I asked the annoncer where Billy was and he said "Dunno gov". We waited until the festivities were about to start when i heard a knock at the door. It wasn't Billy. It was the groundskeeper ready to receive things going. I asked him where Billy was and he told me that he had been here this entire time. He told me that he actually got here early. This news excited me and i went to the car to receive my ball. When i returned it had just begun. When a compettitor preformed a trick my friends and i tried to do it exactly like they did. Some were impossible while others seemed manageable. It ended with every of them passing the ball to each other and each of them doing their possess trick before handing it off. I left and decided to start a juggling circle with my friends beside an overpass. I could pretty much do a majority of Billy's tricks except for his hop the world and effortless Wingrove Rainbow. I tiny crowd of people gathered around us like we were a second act or something and i heard my dad tell me that Billy was watching. He was walking past us in the overpass and i ran up to him. I asked him how he does his tricks and he told me practice. He offered to show me but he really had to go. I shook his hand and he left. We got in the car and my friends complained to me that i always meet the coolest people. I've met cristiano ranaldo and he taught me some corner kicks and even autographed a Nike. C. Balla. When we got back to the Radisson Edwardian Luxury Hotel my dad got a phone call. He told me that if i quit my highschool team and train with arsenal UK for a couple of months i could sign up for one of UK's novice top trick competitions. Should i think about it or should i say no??

Open Question: Do you think people read too much into the kind of cars people drive?
i read a lot of questions asking ppl on the image of the car (usually luxury or sports expensive car) it's portraying..etc. But to the newly wealthy, wouldn't it be the easiest way to just buy a top of the line car that's the best in luxury and style..(most likely the most expensive foreign car) then to buy the same ol car? otherwise, what's the point of being wealthy? if you're "wealthy" and can really afford such a "car", the car shouldn't be much of an expense to your budget anyway.

Resolved Question: Is it weird to vacation by yourself in Vegas?
I just got a two night stay in the Wynn in Las Vegas (luxury suite!) and my best friends can't make it because of work/school, etc. I might just like being by myself, and I will be meeting up with a pal of mine the second night for dinner, dancing, and a show, but I don't know how to battle off the boredom for the first night. Is it weird that I may just go it alone and gamble/go to a spa, etc? I don't want to be the weird guy every by himself at the club, which is where I usually go when I'm with my buddies.

Resolved Question: Don't you think raising taxes on luxury items is a great way to raise revenue?
particularity in markets with low price elasticity, luxury items that consumers are addicted to, like cigarettes, alcohol, soda. It's a VOLUNTARY tax. You don't have to pay it. Why do some people have such a problem with a VOLUNTARY tax? It's a much better way to lift revenue than to rob people of their difficult-earned income. and I'm not saying this just because cigs and soda are bad for you........ (which is a good reason btw), but a better reason would be: It's VOLUNTARY! By voluntary, I mean: You don't have to smoke. You don't have to drink. If you don't engage in those bad habits, then you don't have to pay the tax. engaging in those habits is a voluntary choice.

Resolved Question: Australians: Are we all happy to know that the Dept of Defense has spent $1.8 billion on luxury items such as?

Open Question: Is it better to pay a lot for a nice apartment per month, or live in a cheap apartment but have nice things?
I have always wanted to rent this apartment. It is more like a condo. It is 2 stories and you have your possess private garage to park you car in on the first floor, then you walk upstairs from the garage and it is a one bedroom luxury apartment that is unfurnished. Trouble is, the rent for this apartment is $864 per month. The apartment I live in now is only $435 per month, but it is in a crappy neighborhood and it is old, but it is cheap and within walking distance to my work. Trouble is, I think I'd feel better about life if I lived in the nicer apartment. After every, you only live once, right? On the other hand, I could live in my current apartment and fix it up on the inside and just fill it with nice things, maybe redo the windows so they are weather proof and paint the walls to make it seem more like home. I only make $9/hour, so the luxury apartment would pretty much zap my income every month, but I'd feel so glad about where I lived. My current apartment leaves me with money left over per month, but I am miserable living here. It's one of those apartment where the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on with your neighbors and in the hallway. If you were me, what would you do?

Open Question: How do I convince parents to take their health seriously?
My parents are in their tardy 40's. They are self employed so their health insurance is paid every out of pocket. Their deductibles are very high so they only go to the doctors if they absolutely have to. Neither of them have had any tests done such as prostate exams, mammograms etc. It frustrates me that they don't care enough about themselves to take preventive healthcare seriously. They make a decent income and like plenty of luxuries. I worry that their lives will end young because by the time they find out there is something wrong it will be too tardy.

Open Question: What color to choose for the new Bullet Classic 500?
I am planning on buying a RE Classic 500 motorcycle. I don't have the luxury of going to a dealer and pick amongst the various colors on offer - since the town I reside in doesn't have a full fledged RE dealership. I am booking my bike through bank transfer. So I will only receive to lay my eyes on a Classic 500 for the first time with the delivery of my new bike. So I would like to know what color I should book mine in. I believe it comes in 3 color options, i.e., Black, Red and Blue. Red is out of the question since its too flashy for my tastes. However the black colored Classic on the RE website looks too regular, the blue seems nice on paper but I don't know how it will look in its real form. I read somewhere that the color Green is also on offer. Is that true? If so, I would like to know from experienced Bulleteers or any biker who has laid their expert eyes on the Classic to suggest the best possible color amongst the available colors that the RE Classic comes in. Why can't they build a good car? the only one worth owning is the CTS-V. I hate the damn thing but it is pretty quick. but it's still cheap looking and poorly built. receive into a Mercedes E63 and then a Cadillac CTS-V, look at the damn difference. one looks like a world class car and the other looks like a cheap little entry level luxury car, no different than the cheap little CTS. the Mercedes E63 is a lot faster and a lot nicer. cadillacs are sh'tty luxury cars. if you can't afford a mercedes they're ok, but who the f-ck would pick a Cadillac over a Mercedes AMG? even a mercedes engineer said that cadillac is no threat to them and they're not taken seriously anymore.
